Becoming my own muse

Hey Co-Creators!

I’m coming to you with so much joy and gratitude! Thank you so much being the first to collect the Zodiac Candles! Seeing your orders roll in first thing in the morning just lit up my life. If you haven’t gotten yours yet, take your time and select with intention. Just know, the doors open to public on Saturday 10/30 at 10:30a.m. so I do highly suggest that you make your selection before this time. At that time, the candles will be removed from the Patron Shop and transferred to my public Online Shop, in order to keep correct inventory count.

With the housekeeping out the way, let me share how I’m blooming into the artist that your support has made possible

On Instagram, I’m making daily posts from the candle photoshoot with Janette. Many of them haven’t been seen by the public yet. These were the pictures that I asked Janette to take so that I could use them as reference photos in future paintings. The one that I did post, Kay Lee suggested in the IG comments that I should paint it. She must have read my mind ;) It’s the photo of me holding the bouquet of flowers near my chest, hiding the nip. But I say “FREE THE NIP”!! 🤣

In my upcoming self-portrait series, the nips will be free, in their long, glorious state! It’s been a beautiful journey seeing myself as someone who is worthy to be painted and preserved into history by the brush. Maybe I’ll paint the hair on my legs, or the stretchmarks on my cheeks. Women have frequently been the muse through the male-gaze, which at times can feel objectifying. Maybe I’ll paint myself completely covered where my worth comes from a different place than just my physical body. I just want to explore and I’m not afraid anymore to do that. To evolve, expand, and be seen. It’s scary AF, but there’s something about it that is also very liberating…

Let’s talk about it! I look forward to hearing what’s going on in your creative world, as well. Can’t wait to chat tomorrow for the Create Date! All the link information is in the Patron Calendar now 🤩Do you like the Mothership? Is it helpful having everything in one place? I hope so!

See you soon 💖
