Once Upon a Spacetime

Once Upon a Spacetime

“Step into a cosmic odyssey where the celestial dance of femininity, Blackness, inner enlightenment, and all of creation unfold. This collection of ethereal artworks by Aramis Hamer transcends the boundaries of time and space to explore the interconnected narratives of strength, grace, and spiritual elevation.

Inspired by the divine feminine, music, higher consciousness, and the cosmos, Hamer's artistry captures the essence of resilience, beauty, and wisdom, with every stroke and hue celebrating the diverse tapestry of the feminine experience within the cosmic order; and invites you to witness the kaleidoscope of experiences embodied by Black femininity.

The Goddess takes center stage, portrayed through intricate symbolism and celestial imagery. Ethereal beings emerge from the canvas, embodying the universal energies that connect us all. Hamer's bold and colorful artworks are a visual hymn, inviting contemplation of the sacred and profound aspects of the feminine spirit; transcending earthly limitations to commune with the divine. Stars, galaxies, and cosmic elements interweave with representations of Black femininity, creating a visual symphony that resonates with the cosmic vibrations of the universe.

Join us as we embark on this transcendent voyage, where the stories of personal divinity in sync with our planetary rhythms converge in a timeless narrative of beauty, strength, and universal Oneness. We invite you to reflect on your own cosmic journey and the boundless possibilities that unfold, Once Upon a Spacetime.”

Celebrating Pacific Northwest Artists: 25 Years of the Neddy Awards

The Behnke Foundation, Cornish College of the Arts, and the Museum of History & Industry are excited to celebrate the cultural impact of the Neddy Artist Award throughout the Pacific Northwest. Created twenty-five years ago to honor Seattle artist and teacher Ned Behnke (1948-1989), the Neddy Artist Award recognizes innovative visual artists across media.

On view at Seattle’s Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI) from June 4-September 5, 2023 and curated by Negarra A. Kudumu, Celebrating Pacific Northwest Artists: 25 Years of the Neddy Awards features past Neddy grand prize award recipients – some of the most significant Northwest visual artists of the last quarter century. Celebrating a broad range of creativity, this exhibition of contemporary artworks highlights the fruits of creative growth and community-driven support that the Neddy Artist Award program has fostered for the last twenty-five years.

CONVERGENCE LAUNCH PARTY

CONVERGENCE LAUNCH PARTY

I’m honored to be a guest speaker at this FREE online convergence – “You are a Powerful Divine Being,” focused on integrating ancient wisdom and spiritual empowerment with movements for healing and collective liberation.

With over 20 “deep dive” interviews and other live offerings –including a meditative and cathartic dance ceremony– this convergence is an opportunity for profound healing, spiritual reclamation, and new insights and tools that can truly change your life.

The host, Erika Merz, is a down-to-earth, radiant and radical “energy dancer,” visionary artist with a passion to help spiritually-minded changemakers “remember” the energetic power we ALL possess. Her vision is to lift up these powerful truths that we may heal and rise up to ignite tangible, heart-centered change in the world.

To attend (FREE!) just register via this link! https://bit.ly/3c5pYRI

Tune in to each interview on your own time each day of the convergence to learn about indigenous wisdom, the power of energy/prayer, intention, embodiment/dance, creativity, somatic trauma healing, visualization, meditation, etc.

I hope you’ll choose to join in on this valuable information. I imagine you’ll find these conversations quite unique and insightful!
