Do you know what to do if you are sexually assaulted? The hardest thing about sexual assault is that it can be difficult to talk about. Very often we are taught about the precautions to take to avoid being assaulted, but what about if it DOES happen? In a moment when you are trying to gather your thoughts and understand what has happend you must also move specifically and quickly to preserve possible evidence. You may not know who to call, what to do, or may even be questioning if what happened was assault. The goal of this event is to make the knowledge of what to do if you have experienced assaulted as common as the knowledge of how to avoid it. We want you to MAKE A PLAN.
In The Know is an event with two goals. The first is to create a common knowledge of not only how to prevent sexual assault, but also what to do in the case of sexual assault. The second is to create a healing space for those who have experienced sexual assault and to connect all people with the resources they need to prevent, prosecute, and heal from sexual assault.
